Today Steve Jobs parted the physical life. He was a great man, great industry leader and really inspiring. Immediately I remembered Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford Commencement Address during which he shares 3 inspirational life stories. I will remember Steve by these stories.

Perception controls, so control your perception

In 1992 I started as a student at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam. During the following 5 years I studied molecular microbiology with a primary focus on cell membranes. I found the wonders of life in the micro world, on the level of DNA, RNA and proteins. The perfect balance of these building blocks of life was and is still amazing.

At that time I was more a scientific person. First proof it, and then I’ll believe it. But this was not satisfying for me, and I was left behind with questions of how all of this comes together to what we know as life. There is only One True Path in Life

Inspiration has many sources. One of them is music, which for me is the most vivid external vibration we interpret with our physical body. Lyrics are not that important to me, as I find myself feeling the music mostly, but sometimes the lyrics of a song does catch my attention. One of those songs is Innervision from the band System of a Down. Just to make sure there are no suprises, it is a Metal band.
