Making a mistake causes you to focus on what you don’t want. And as they always go hand in hand also on what you do want. It makes you more specific so you can fine tune every little detail. Without mistakes we would miss those valuable experiences which make us true teachers.

Recently I was listening to an interesting part of one of the Abraham-Hicks recordings. A man took place on the hot seat and expressed a rather cynical view of our struggle in our lives. In short he said that Source Energy / Consciousness / Spirit, or whatever name you label it with, expands as a result of our increased contrast and therefor struggle we face in our lives. Therefor it would benefit from an increase in struggling creating bigger contrast. An interesting view, and at the time I listened to the recording I kind of resonated with the words of this cynical man. But somehow I could not give it a rest and shortly after I clarified it enough for me to share it with you. » Read the rest of this entry «

I am having a Step 1 experience about the endless attempts of people trying to monetize the Law of Attraction. I do not have anything against the fact that people want to share the empowerment it brings and inspire others to regain control of their own life. But I feel the contrast when I open the websites which advertize some book, cd, dvd or any combination of these items. They all look the same, use the same structure, the same buildup in text. Introduction, the amazing results one can expect, the incredible one time offer this is, and off course the testimonials.

Contrast in our lives causes us to ask what we want. If we are sick, we want more wellness. If we are broke, we want more money. If our relationships end, we want a better relationship. And so on, and so on. And when we hit such a contrast in our lives, generally speaking, it feels bad. On the emotional scale we end up in the bottom half and we start to justify the way we feel with arguments related to what we do not want. And in this process we put more attention to what do not want resulting in more dissapointment and we glue ourselves to feeling bad.
