A Vibrational Being

Today Steve Jobs parted the physical life. He was a great man, great industry leader and really inspiring. Immediately I remembered Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford Commencement Address during which he shares 3 inspirational life stories. I will remember Steve by these stories.

Yesterday I was pleasantly surprised by this tweet by Holly DeWolf and was immediately in love with The Holstee Manifesto. I remember I’ve this before, but I cannot remember when and where. By sharing it with you I am now certain I will not ever forget.

Recently I was introduced by a dear friend to Quantum Jumping, a concept developed by Burt Goldman also known as The American Monk. Quantum Jumping is based on the theory that there are an infinite number of universes that exist in parallel to ours and in each universe there is a version of you, a Doppelganger. As there are infinite universes, there are infinite versions of you. When you Quantum Jump you visit that specific ‘twin’ version of you that is already successful at what you want. In that process you will receive advice on how to achieve what you want. This can be in the form of words, inspiration, energy, etc. This might sound all a bit crazy, but let me share my first jumps, so you can decide for yourself if it resonates with you.

We live in a time where we more and more connect with people without actually meeting them in person. At least at first. When we ‘meet’ people online we create an image of them inside of us. If we resonate with that person online, we even create a more perfect image of them by focusing on positive aspects of that person complemented by positive aspects we like to see in others. But what happens then is interesting. We give the responsibility to live up to that image to that person, without any form of notification. And that is were it goes wrong. Read the rest of this entry »

Lately, I have been a prisoner of my own mind. I have been standing eye to eye with my own shadows, but instead of embracing them to give me strength, I have fought them drowning in the emotion of fear. This has been overwhelming to the point of feeling powerless, one of the most negative emotions there is. Or at least that I have experienced. This feeling of captivity triggered me to think about freedom. What is true freedom?

In 1992 I started as a student at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam. During the following 5 years I studied molecular microbiology with a primary focus on cell membranes. I found the wonders of life in the micro world, on the level of DNA, RNA and proteins. The perfect balance of these building blocks of life was and is still amazing.

At that time I was more a scientific person. First proof it, and then I’ll believe it. But this was not satisfying for me, and I was left behind with questions of how all of this comes together to what we know as life. Recently I was listening to an interesting part of one of the Abraham-Hicks recordings. A man took place on the hot seat and expressed a rather cynical view of our struggle in our lives. In short he said that Source Energy / Consciousness / Spirit, or whatever name you label it with, expands as a result of our increased contrast and therefor struggle we face in our lives. Therefor it would benefit from an increase in struggling creating bigger contrast.  An interesting view, and at the time I listened to the recording I kind of resonated with the words of this cynical man.
